Crazy range of colors that seem to be part of this release.. the one I got for my youngest has virtually no black.. its pink and white marbled.
Target actually shipped this to me in a 15x12x11 box.. which is insane. I guess its lucky its a lot cooler now than during the summber - so no warp in the LP... I have it between some other LPs to flatten out the god-awful plastic sleeve.
Nothing looks damaged/creased, just rounded.. so flattening should do the trick.
Have not unsealed.. because..well.. its not mine -
the vinyl itself is perfect, but the packaging is just bad. I’m not a fan of plastic sleeves, but overall, i am happy with that purchase)

Anybody else got side A on both sides? I've got the track label on one side and the picture of the girls on the obverse, but both sides have the runout etched IMP763•A SAFF and Side A's tracks!
I was already on my way to Target to ask for a new "sleeve" since mine ripped on the left and right sides during shipping, when I flipped the record over and "Set Me Free" started playing again! They confirmed a re-ship instantly, and at least the slip mat is pretty cool. I think I'll try to steam the tape off the back of the new one when it arrives rather than ripping it and leaving paper residue all over the sleeve. -
Preface:
I pre-ordered this immediately on Target after the announcement. This release differed from others since we had no idea what the songs were like except for Moonlight Sunrise. However, I still copped since it's TWICE and Moonlight Sunrise is amazing imo.
Packaging:
As others have stated, the packaging was really bad. Upon opening the mailer, the plastic had strong off-gas (like a plastic pool inflatable smell), which is highly damaging to the vinyl and everything inside. There even was a small seam tear. Others have reported that the seam of their package had almost entirely ripped on the bottom (the vinyl would slip out a little bit from the bottom). Not only that, there is barely any protection, and can bend easily. A standard 1xLP gatefold like Nayeon's vinyl would be way nicer. They probably did it for a nicer presentation, but hey, JYPE is probably experimenting with different offerings in U.S. vinyl manufacturing. (Also, I just now realized: since the variants vary a lot, they probably didn't want to cause confusion when Onces receive a different variant than expected). Lastly, the tape they used was bad. I saw a couple of unboxings of this vinyl and many had the tape not removed cleanly. I tried to be slow and careful with mines but it just didn't come off cleanly.
Vinyl:
The variants people have been getting were cool to see. Some would get one that's heavy on the black side, white side, pink side, a mix of two, or even all three. I received a very pretty, equally-distributed pink/white marbled variant! It's very stunning!
The sound of the vinyl is great! Very clear and distinguishable. My only concern is the pops when it transitions from song to song. There is a pop a couple of seconds after Moonlight Sunrise ends and another pop before Got The Thrills begins. All of the other songs' transitions have one pop when each of the songs ends. Fortunately, the pops aren't present during the songs themselves.
Inclusions:
Unfortunately, the outside side of the poster and the black side of the slipmat had tinting. The front of the outside of the poster had a slight pink tint on it (the side where READY TO BE is), and the edges on the backside had a very slight color bleed from the inside of the poster (not really noticeable though). There seemed to be small colored marks on the back as well but it's not an issue. The inside of the poster itself is pristine. The colors are correct.
The slipmat was what I was excited about too! I was in the market for one and was surprised when TWICE announced it as one of the inclusions. The quality is nice. It feels like the Audio Technica slipmat that comes with the AT-LP60X. The graphic on it is reasonably sharp for what the material is. Not insanely sharp or insanely blurry; It's still very distinguishable. The graphic is the correct colors as well. As mentioned, the black side of the slipmat has a slight pink tint on the TWICE logo and album title. It's quite noticeable and not white at all. Though, this could vary from slipmat to slipmat.
The lenticular is also very cool.
Conclusion:
I highly recommend getting this if you enjoy the album or just like TWICE. I would be cautious when storing this as the packaging may affect other items around it. I would highly recommend repackaging this as well by using a proper inner/outer sleeve. -
Really not a huge fan of the sleeve, especially the tape. Mine is basically pure pink and looks nothing like this. The slipmat is cool though and this is one of the better Target presses I've heard.

The most disappointing kpop packaging ever. You would think the label would do a paper sleeve or gatefold but to do a pvc jacket ( that’s easily rip )is terrible. ONCE and all kpop collectors demand better packaging
-
Terrible packaging, no carboard sleeve or paper vinyl sleeve. Everything is packed into those crappy plastic sleeves that split during shipping. Now I know why this was so cheap!

DON’T pay more than $24.99 for this album yet: Target still sells a LOT of these and it’s very common! Color of the vinyl varies GREATLY as well…some records may have a darker, purplish and messier color while other have a lighter, pinkish color. Go to your local Target to purchase and view the look of the records and steer clear from Discogs sellers in the meantime!

This thing sounds great! I was really surprised. Sonically awesome. We need a TWICE "best of" 2 vinyl set!
