When it comes to Japanese Metallica pressings it is kind of a mixed bag. I prefer the US pressings of the first 3 albums over their Japanese counterparts (although the Japanese are always cooler from a presentation standpoint). That being said, this version beats out the US pressing in my opinion, better instrument separation, dynamics, and dead silent vinyl!

Why are Metallica Japanese vinyls so expensive. I know they are more rare, but my God. I can get AC/DC, Def Leppard, and so on for a fraction of the price on their Japanese vinyls.

I love how the OBI blocks out Newsted's face, that might be one of the best musical coincidences ever.
