Vince Guaraldi – A Charlie Brown Christmas

Packaged quite beautifully with lots of art on the digibook pages. Sadly the discs are rather tough to get out without having to physically put your fingers on both surfaces of the disc (an unfortunate by-product of digibooks as a whole).
I will add that for my money the Atmos mix of the main album is rather underwhelming, but it shouldn't go without mentioning that this isn't exactly a soundtrack that particularly lends itself great to a surround sound mix. I may take issue with it, but it's not particularly an album that you can really expect a lot from if you're looking for a truly gripping surround sound experience. It does make me wonder why they chose to do that, but I'm aware that remixing for Atmos has been the big music industry trend for a while as Dolby has been pushing for it heavily everywhere they can. If you're looking to buy it for that, then you're not going to get much. I do also wonder why they did two different formats (192/24 and 96/24) of the 2022 remix rather than only one of the 2022 and one of the original stereo mix, but it's no big deal since it is at least on the CD. There's a lot of great outtakes if you're interested in those as well, and overall this is a nice little collector's item.

This is a treat of an item. Typically we get the 10 exclusive colors for vinyl and maybe a cd but this year they went all out. Love this edition.
