I feel your pain sir. At least in the U.K. us Brits who are of Ties That Bind fan club operated by long time Springsteen fan club and record shop Badlands based in Cheltenham had an allocation that allowed access to a block. Still had to queue and was able to get a ticket at a reduced price to the frankly rip off Ticketmaster “dynamic pricing”. Also no physical ticket anymore and no means of a print of one for posterity.
For the US CD, the long time US based Springsteen blog site etc have / had an exclusive gift - a CD sized 14 page colour booklet “Badlands Liner Notes”, that is / was available on orders for any of the LP variants or CD via their web store.
I missed on the previous Tracks liner notes so snapped this up. Bit of trouble with my card not processed so called them from U.K. and all was sorted. Even had a chat re U.K. gigs. -
Not impressed. Purchased this CD with plans to put it on my home network / hard disk but it must have some copy protection that doesn't allow you to it. I also normally put my CDs on a stick so that I can listen to them in the car (does Columbia know that most cars don't have CD players anymore ?). I also notice the vinyl record doesn't have a card. All previous Springsteen CDs did not have this issue. Can't afford to see Springsteen in concert but at least I was hoping to listen to him in the car. As I said at the start I'm disappointed and not impressed. For all the money I've spent on Bruce Springsteen media & concert tickets over the years I feel violated for my patronage.
