Phenomenal mastering & pressing, with terrific fidelity, dynamics & space to the stereo-mix. Vinyl is dead-silent as well. Sounds great played LOUD... -
Edited one year agoThe mix on this album is wonderful. Grant Green's guitar is so present and forward, but also balanced with the rest of the instruments. Outstanding pressing. I like the songs but I wish there was a bit less of the "repeat the same three notes on the guitar for 20 seconds" motif. Still, that's on me. Great album. -
Floored! The best sounding Tone Poet I have heard up to this date. They really hit it out of the park with this one. -

I was going to give this one a , because there’ve been so many recent reissues, between Blue Note, Verve and Craft—glad I didn’t. This might be my favourite Grant Green and Herbie is killer on this. And Go Down Moses is essential. -
Another reference quality release in this wonderful series. These Tone Poets are a reference point for quality/performance/value.
Maybe not Grants best album but highly enjoyable none the less! -
Everything about this release screams quality. It just feels elite. By the time you actually drop the needle, you are expecting perfection, and perfection is what you get. -

Wow! Unbelievable sound. Tunes so chilled and awesome. Really quiet vinyl with an occasional tick first play without a clean. So happy I picked this one up. It will be a $500 record when out of print!!!
