i hope this album gets a repress on a clear honey-yellow color, it feels like it would match the sound of the album. with the full version of desire lines of course, maybe half speed mastered as well due to long runtime on each side.

I like the Halcyon Digest album. It has some great tracks on which many have commented. Something deserves to be said about the cover artwork with its photograph by Atlanta Georgia photographer George Mitchell.
The photograph makes for a stunning album cover - one of the best ever for 4AD*. The photo is evocative, and beautifully produced in black and white. All the more reason to have the vinyl version of this album - to have the cover photo on a good 12” card stock. It's a gem.
The Miss Starlite Pageant, 1983. Long live teacher, Dennis Dinion.
[ * Obviously 4AD can claim a number of iconic album covers. Noteworthy of the photograph-based covers are such items as Cocteau Twins’ Garlands; Simon Larbalestier’s many Pixies covers, but for me, specifically: Come on Pilgrim, which I happen to know is of his brother and has many references to Madame Bovary. Look at that fish.] -
sincerely i didn't believe that a low fi grg band could be well married with the darktone of 4ad. but i didn't know enough about this band and their shoegaze way towards the stars. nice atmosphere, good balance, lovely tunes. bradford cox's not just another toxic reason: he emerges like a magister of the nu-millenium. great record, well done!
