Mad Honey – Setback

I love Mad Honey and space grapes sound, it's all i want in my dj set, but am I the only one who thinks their releases deserve better pressing? this one and Jéroboam - Freakshow sounds a bit flat, it lacks of depth for me.

This is the superior release from space grapes to date. As someone who has owned all of their releases, this is the one that I’m choosing to keep in the bag.

These guys are out of sight! This 12'' is worth it's weight in gold. Their first 12" (Upward Bound) was already a killer. But I have to say that this release knocks it right out of the park with ease. And I mean both tracks! Fantastic!

Great musicians, great productions, and when you hear both tracks it's going to blow your mind. "Setback" has some similarities with the Leroy Burgess/Sonny Davenport sound from somewhere around 1982/1983. "Time Is On Our Side" is something different, and sounds like some high quality Britfunk from around 1981/1982. I think both tracks on this 12" are instant boogie classics in their own right! Grab 'm while you can, because this could be a collector's item in the making.

matter of fact, everything on Space Grapes is finely curated. So Much HEAT.
grab em while you can before the gouging begins.

Both tracks are beyond excellent. Lovely, Spacey Brit-Funk circa 1978-1980, but recorded now.
