One of those rare double albums that doesn't really feel like it's bloated or would have been better as a single LP. Fifteen songs, six instrumentals, and a very broad canvas of sounds...it all makes for an album that flows really well. This is the 2022 reissue, and it's a winner. The vinyl has very nice range from top to bottom, the glossy gatefold package is a beauty, with a fold out poster/lyric sheet to boot. My copy plays like new...flat, clean and quiet, with zero surface noise.

Returned my copy due to the poor quality of this release by the record company. The quality of the jacket is so poor, vinyl was noisy and the booklet was just a flimsy few pages with lyrics. IMO, a money grab and not worth the price unfortunately.

Fully impressed with this reissue. It appears it was pressed at Music on Vinyl's plant (Netherlands sticker), as the black vinyl shines like glass. Perfectly mastered with detail and punch. Happy to have this lp.

I got a copy from my local record store yesterday. It sounds great. Perfect pressing by RTI? Very full sounding. Tight bass and good full frequency. Im very impressed. I hope they re-issue the original mix of Wake Up The Nation.

Packaging is nice and records clear and sonically good. Not quite sure why they decided to put a sticker on the front cover with Paul Weller 22 Dreams rather than just print it on. Whover stuck mine on put it on slantways and also managed to not stick it on properly so there are air bubbles in it which I can't smooth out without damaging it. First World problems...

Why was it d as being the first time on vinyl, when there was an original vinyl release back in 2008?

Just got mine today gave it a quick clean, sounds fantastic with a nice wide soundstage, no pops clicks or surface noise at all. Jacket is lovely only gripe as with most standard releases these days is the paper inner sleeves but I always replace anyway so no big deal.

I have emailed island records about who cut this and where it was pressed so we shall see if i get an answer from them.

My original copy also had a lot of surface noise, tics and pops. Fortunately I sold it. Anyone who thinks that it is “analog” is certainly dreaming as it is from a digital source. Quite happy with my Japanese cd pressing thank you. A far better listening experience.

This seems to be an exact replica of the original 2008 copy that I also have. There is excessive surface noise on the lead-ins to both sides of disc 1. Disc 1 is also edge warped with audible swooshing. Given that this release is priced near $60 in the U.S., it's a'goin back for replacement. Obviously, for Paul Weller fans, this is a must have. A phenomenal record that marked yet another highpoint is Weller's long and amazing journey. Dude's a genius artist and this record isn't cheap used for a reason. People cherish it.
