this album could have been 1 disc even with the bonus track. doesn't seem like it's on two discs for quality reasons either
-
No warp issue here, but there is a lot of sibilance on every songs... Quite disappointed by this release.
-
Nice dynamic range but noisy AF. Fortunately not that noticeable as most songs a loud enough to mask it, but it’s still there across the entire pressing.
-
While I have no warping issue the hole in the center of the LP was too small and wouldn’t fit on my record player. To fix this issue I used a led pencil to try and widen the hole, this helped minimally. Besides that the sound quality has great range from high to low and has amazing bass.

Edited one month agogreat looking pressing, just a shame that my copy has more crackles & pops on the best side (d) than sides a b & c combined. would’ve been 5 stars too, damn.
-
Soooo. Another variant of this album thst has serious warping issues.
Went through two copies before giving up and not wanting my local shop to have to pay the price for bad quality control.
This is one of the best albums of the past 5 years but Mass Appeal apparently doesn't care about making sure their pressings are quality anymore. -
I’m really late to the RTJ party and only just discovered them while watching them live on the Stephen Colbert show just a few nights ago. They played “A Few Words For The Firing Squad” and I was hooked! Went to my local indie record store and they had one last copy of the “splatter/tour edition” version which is now mine all mine! I read a few comments about the pressing quality of other versions so I gave this a wet/vac cleaning first and overall this pressing sounds excellent with only a couple very minor ticks on a couple tracks. Otherwise perfect! Now I’m kicking myself for ing by their other 3 releases on limited vinyl when first released. Now I’m on the hunt!
