Obviously every person's system is different but I am not sure how this pressing would be considered weak sounding. Yes, it is cut at a slightly lower volume compared to other LPs. But it is still quite dynamic. I put it on after a quick cleaning and was really surprised at how much bottom end this has compared to other versions I own (Classic, several US versions, and the 16P1 from Japan). I haven't compared to a UK original as I don't have one either. Nevertheless, really nice sound for a challenging album. These 1st Japanese pressings of I,II and III by Nippon Grammaphon are really good. In most instances much better than the Pioneer-Warner Japanese pressings from the mid 70s.

Man I was disappointed with this pressing. I cleaned it 3 times just to make sure it was clean. It sounds 'muted' or just very weak. I'm exaggerating a bit of course as it still sounds good....just not great.

Great sound. Top mastering, I haven't heard the 1st UK issue, but I think it should sound just like this pressing. Such thing I also can say about LZ ii. I had 2nd and third Japanese pressings, and the sound there is to be frank is bad and compressed.
