I’ve submitted a re-press request with Music On Vinyl (known for high-quality reissues), hopefully they are willing (and able) to make a reissue happen for this masterful library gem.
Probe, Sky and Saturn Rings are also available on CD, see Alan Hawkshaw - Voyager. That release also includes Frontiers Of Science, which sadly is a re-recorded version that doesn’t sound half as good. -

Firstly, R.I.P. Alan. Why this sublime record has not been repressed is beyond me. I can't afford the original, I can't even find it. It's an ambient eargasm, quite simply a masterpiece. One of the best releases on Bruton, and one of Alan's finest recordings. This record deserves a superb remaster, and it needs to be recognised for it's greatness. A wonderful recording from a wonderful artist who's music will stand the test of time, thank you Alan, rest in beats

Edited 4 years agoI hope some reissue label, maybe Be With Records, can formulate a plan to reissue the Bruton records. This one is great and deserves a quality vinyl reissue.
Saturn Rings in particular just knocks it out of the park. It captures so perfectly the time in which it was made.
