Other than pure market forces, can anyone shed any light as to why this and all the pressings in the recent ‘demos series’ can be picked-up sealed or NM for around 10-12 pounds sterling? -
All the new remastered series of 2020-2022 is amazing! I’m so happy it came out. I’m hearing sounds and details I never noticed when hearing it on CD. Very recommended -
I also had a problem with track 3,The glorious land.my copy was sticking which is really more annoying than a skip..anyway,on closer inspection with a stylus magnifying glass,it turns out there’s a tiny inclusion on the surface of the record.i then just carefully scraped it off with my fingernail,and guess what..bingo!..now plays through like a charm.hope this helps anyone with the same problem. -
I ordered two copies of the vinyl album, and on both copies, the 3rd track from Side A "The Glorious Land" skipped at the exact same place. I guess, I will settle for the CD version. -
Onto my second copy both have a loud pop on the song The Glorious Land so I am guessing a pressing fault -

In my ears on "Let England Shake", "The Glorious Land" and "The World That Maketh Murder" PJ sounds as she has a cold or as she sings out of tune or both - was this intended?
I am glad the vocals were recorded "properly" on the final recordings. Nonetheless the tracks, especially "All and Everyone" have such an intimate touch which is by far more intensive than the regular LP versions.
But, in total I do not agree, that this is the best of her demo releases! -

Possibly the best one of the demos series.
A properly alternative version of the released original, the prominence of sampling make this feel very different. -
Received an alt j signed sheet in place of the pj Harvey one
Waiting to see if this can rectified or if I’m stuffed .
