Notes
This record was cancelled for unknown reasons after a few promos/test pressings were made. The catalogue number BFLT9 was instead used for a release by System 7 on Dragonfly's parent label Butterfly Records. A1 and B1 were released on various compilations many years later.
B2 contains a voice sample from the movie "2010 - the year we make ", saying "My god, it's full of stars".
B2 was found on DAT tapes with the title: The Infinity Project - Sky, on the EP it has no title.
The title track and it's B-side remix samples William Shatner saying "I was floating in time and space".

My copy does have some side to side movement on both sides but only 2mm or so. It doesn't seem to noticeably effect the playback

I staying in a hotel a few years back and stumbling across an episode of the original 60s Star Trek on the Sci Fi channel and half-watching in the absence of there being anything else on (I'm more of a Whovian)... Then suddenly like a stranger shouting your name across a crowded room came that familiar sample - 'I was... floating... in time... and space...'. It's funny how your brain can link such a small fragment of sound to an existing memory, but there you go. I have no idea what the episode was called or which season it was, and sadly being a basic telly I couldn't rewind and rewatch. I believe Kirk had just come out of some kind of matrix or parallel world and was talking to his crew about his experience. If anyone can share which episode it may have been I'd love to find it again.

Edited 6 years agoA2 is the standout track here if you are into early Classic Goa Trance, but it is of very short duration unfortunately.. Sounds like MWNN influenced it. Too bad there is something wrong with the pressing as Ukiro says and that you can hear. If you are seriously tripping maybe it won't matter.

I'm not sure if this is true for all copies of this record, but on mine the groove is off-centre on the A-side making the pitch appear to oscillate more and more toward the end of the record, and as a result the A2 track sound horribly out of tune. The B-side is nice and centered though.
As this was only Dragonflys second single, or at least supposed to be, it was still a small label at the time and thus I'm guessing no more than 50 test pressings/promos were made, but the number is probably even lower.
