Edited 9 months agoYeah, this really has to be cranked! You really need a high current amp to really enjoy it. Great separation and soundstage, but Phil seems to be screaming from behind everyone. This a classic album, so it's nice to have this... for now.

It's weird how my copy has a typical "Made In Czech Republic" sticker, indicating it would be a GZ press. But the deadwax has MPO () and the small text on the back says Made In . There are no 'digital' deadwax GZ indicators. Did MPO ship stampers to GZ to keep up with orders? Why would there be a GZ sticker on there?
I do agree it's a quieter master, and should be a 2lp. You can't really cut a loud, heavy album on 1LP without compromising volume to retain dynamics. Just turn your volume up. It's not the best, but not the worst. It plays well. -
Edited 3 months agoHow many albums are there in today's presses of nearly 30-minute sides that sound as good as this one?
My press is really very quiet, and although I had to turn up the volume the surface noise is almost absent.
I recommend it. -

Edited 2 years agoThis is a rip of this pressing. I thought it sounded excellent. My copy was pretty much flawless. Recommended

Nothing wrong with this reissue at all to me! Sounds amazing! I think this is even better than the double LP version. That one has loads of issues from what I can tell. And if you want an original in good condition you are looking at around at least 100 bucks.
