Notes
On track 1-14, Jeanette Lee is credited with "Keyboards and Synths", and Dave Crowe with "Drums". However, it is known that these 2 performed non-musical roles in P.I.L. so these credits are likely an assumption made by the compilers, perhaps due to both artists appearing as 'band ' in the liner notes of Metal Box. The actual performers of these roles are likely to be Martin Atkins on drums, and Keith Levene on keyboards and synthesizers.
Also, in the same track Levene is credited with "Guitar" here, when no guitar is in Careering, though he certainly performed on the track itself.
Mastered at Masterpiece.
Premastered at The Instrument.
Packaged in a 3- digipak style sleeve. Includes 24 page booklet with notes and credits.
A few tracks on this compilation (not companion) were mastered off vinyl - record surface noise is either unavoidable or a welcome addition depending on your viewpoint. (hood 2003)
Album titled 'Rough Trade Shops - Post Punk 01' on cover and CDs and 'Rough Trade Shops - Post Punk Vol 01' on spine and booklet cover.

Jeanette Lee credited with Synth and Keys? Yes she had a non musical role with PIL But on the other hand, she was running Rough Trade at the time of this release, so you'd think she'd know...

a perfect way to start exploring Post Punk,
if you want cheesewire guitars and heavy basslines we have them!
every track is a killer except Les Georges Leningrad who sound like a parody of post-punk imo.
here you have every flavour of post punk in one place, guitar rock, noise, skronk, industrial, mutant disco, Dub, Punk-Funk & twee indie
