Edited one year agoThe best release of both Meir Vaknin and Jean Borelli. A superbly otherworldly scifi Goa album that drips with alien weirdness. However, it makes me really sad that the best of both artist's respective careers is here, because most of the rest of their work is comparatively weak. Jean Borelli took the name Orion, but the albums that followed were much reduced in melodicism and inspiration and constitute mere cut-up psytrance with little story to tell, whereas this can take you to another planet. Meir Vaknin put out some appreciable early work under the moniker Messiah, but by the time he used the name Mino his work was also lacking in inspiration. A momentary glint of beauty, then, is what this album is - but what a tuneful glint! ~*~
