Edited one year agoThis is an opportunity to hear history being made, as we have the pleasure of hearing The Clash's legendary concert at the Shea Stadium, in New York, way back in 1982.
Riots almost broke out as desperate fans tried to get tickets to the Sold Out gig. This had not been seen in the city since Frank Sinatra's Bobby sockers, caused mayhem outside the Paramount Theatre, back in the 40s.
A very handsome book style sleeve is a pleasure to pick up and enjoy, containing as it does, unbelievable era defining photos, that definitely capture the vibrancy of the show.
Most of these have a white browse streak running down the spine, and is also prone to corner drinks and creases that is not too overbearing.
My advice is handle it carefully, don't open it out, too much, easy does it.
The main thing however is the music, if you are new to The Clash, there is no harm at all starting here, however I think that this is more for the diehard fans who already own all the studio albums, and the ultra rare stuff on Black Market Clash etc. The dedicated fans already know about this legendary concert, and will be really excited to add this 1982 Shea Stadium concert to their collection.
