This release is well worth searching for. My favorite is "The Thinking Man" - the drums exemplify great taste in drum programming and also why Richie Hawtin is universally classified as a techno God - just plain great. Fred Gianelli helped out too and was previously known for his work with Genesis P'Orridge (Psychic TV). The Thinking Man is quite funky and utilizes great 303 work. Work that involves what the 303 was made for - basslines. No insubordinate tweeking of the knobs (which I like, just not ALL the time) and allowing it be just a deep, dark bassline. The arrangement is what really carries this one. The other tracks are great too and don't worry, side two gives you the acid approach. I just really like the creative approach to The Thinking Man. Now if I could only find Probe 6...
