This is purely a review of the picture disc, not the album itself. I recently bought this from Machete instead of the regular LP version because it was on sale for half the price and boy am I sorry that I did. Like most picture discs there is a noticeable background hum as soon as the needle touches the record. I could get over that because the music covers it up, but to make matters worse there's a full one second delay between all of the tracks where all you can hear is the hum. One of my favorite things about this album since i bought the cd back when it came out was always the pace...one high energy song comes to a stop, then then next one immediately starts. The rhythm of the album is completely ruined by these gaps between the songs that shouldn't be there. They didn't even split the sides correctly...side A ends with "Not to Regret" and side B begins with "Radio Havana." These tracks are supposed to fade into one another slightly. Gave it 2 stars only because I still love the album and picture discs are aesthetically cool, but avoid this version if you ever want to actually listen to it.
