Edited 2 years agoThink of this as a companion to Earthbeat. A collection of early 90s rave tracks released under various aliases. It’s a solid collection if you are fond of this era.

The Future Sound of London are without doubt a solar flare in the history of computer generated sound. By Any Other name collects fragments of various recordings that are the polar counter-part of their ambient adventures. These guys have oozed creativitiy and originality for many years now and this collection bears witness to the fact that FSOL are switched on to the key elements of great sounds and never cease to surprise and thrill the ears! Since Cascade and Tales of Ephedrina appeared on the horizon of sound FSOL have been leaders organizing the history of creative sound computing. Its one amazing story of the Avante Guard. I think we will be unpacking the meaning of their repetoire in years to come.
