this pressing has so much depth to the sound - i love testing new equipment on it and discovering new bleeps and background sounds in the music i’ve never heard before! no surface noise and good packaging adds up for an amazing pressing for this incredible album! only thing i could critique is the vocals kind of blend in with the instrumentals, giving it a slightly muddy sound but i think that was a deliberate choice - i just personally prefer vocals to be clear and forward sounding!

Edited 9 months agoNice clear sound. Bass is good too. This album has always sounded a bit muddy, even on the digital version.
All of William Orbit’s sounds are well separated in the mix. Artwork reproduction is high quality. Worth a buy.
Setup: Technics SP10 MK2, Rega RP880 tonearm with VM540ML Cartridge, Sony TA-FB940R Amplifier, Klipsch Speakers. -

Edited 2 years agoNot really a Madonna fan, but I love what William Orbit brought to this album (not a fan of All Saints either, but love what he did with Black Coffee and Pure Shores), love his bleepy-plippy sounds. This (to my ears) sounds like her most complete album, it all fits together into one fantastic whole, it sounds spacious, rich, vast. Phenomenal pressing. Only have knowledge of my cd version, but the sound of this blows it out of the water, sounds So bloody good.

Incredible pressing. Nice deep, but subtle, bass. Great detail of instruments. No surface noise at all. I can't compare it with other pressings, but it doesn't get any better than this.

I got this one around half a year ago, and I still think this is a phenomenal pressing. You can hear every little detail on songs like "Mer Girl", it's absolutely gorgeous.
Also, don't pay the scalpers. This album is easier to find then you may think at independent record stores, at least since the last time I checked. No reason to pay $60 when you could pay $30. -
