My copy sounds good. It's silent without pops. I would expect it to sound "way much better" than in Spotify, but that's not the case. I can't compare with the first release though, to be fair.

Overall a good pressing... Even tho it's silent most of the time, on side A, the closer the needle gets to the center, the higher you'll notice the distortion specially on mid-highs, it's most noticeably on the piano parts, I think this might came from a different cut than the original pressing.

My copy is pretty silent overall. I don't hear any surface noise during the quieter parts of the album, and overall Wewantsounds have knocked another reissue out of the park

My copy sounds great, a dead silent disc and no pops or distortion. Brilliant album

The packaging and presentation of this is really nice, it really holds the feel of the original LP release. However something must be said about the pressing. Besides some really noticeable noise in the background throughout the whole disc, side A has multiple issues, all having to do with the fact that it has a lot of quieter ages (Tracks 1 and 2 most notably). During the said ages, there's a lot of background noise and distortion in the high pitched sounds. Actually, the piano sounds very distorted as well, which would indicate either my copy has this problem, or this is a really bad pressing. Side B is okay in this regard, mostly because it doesn't have quiet ages, and also it doesn't feature that many acoustic instruments. Also to add to the problems mentioned above, there are a lot of pops and clicks scattered all across the record, even though I thoroughly cleaned it, does that mean I should apply the wood glue cleaning method? If you want the experience of listening to this album on a turntable, and you don't mind the details that much, then go ahead and get this. If however you're looking for quality sound, stick with the SACD remaster (COGQ-87) or with the original LP (YX-7586-ND).

First reissue outside of Japan for 30 years? Yes. Fake OBI on the sleeve. Nice. Extra insert with new liner notes. Check. Shall we hire a cutting engineer for this vinyl reissue? Nah, just give it to GzVinyl to sort that out and they can press it too. Fell at the last hurdle there, the most important one. Nice try.
