Interestingly, my copy of Colorado sides A&B are correctly labled, but play electronic dance music! Side C is OK though! 😀
-
Both of my discs are mildly warped, and Sides A & C are pressed a bit off-center, but the pressing is quiet and sounds very good.
The music is great and reminds me of his best mid-period records. It's the first Neil record I've wanted to own in a while. I'm sure I'll play quite a bit. -
I think this is a fine album. I'm a big fan of Neil along with Crazy Horse anyway,
Only the bonus single is of course nonsense.
Price in Europe is really much too high for the amount of music.

Love it. One of his stronger albums of this century. Tender on Green is Blue, classic CH on She Shows me Love. Beautifully packaged with a more than worth while 7” single. Sound is,of course, amazing on vinyl!
-
Excellent pressing of an underrated Neil album. The vinyl is dead flat, silent, and clean. As the release notes (and as Neil always prints right on his releases), this is sourced from193/24 digital, but it does still have that warm analogue sound Neil's releases are famous for.
Sure, the lyrics can be corny here, but I personally stopped coming to Neil for his lyrical genius after Prairie Wind. The last decade or so seems to be much more about the "feel" for Neil than the "technical," and this kind of goes with his music as of late: we're meant to "feel it." To that end, the instrumental work between Neil and Crazy Horse is pretty top notch! With Nils Lofgren re-ing the Horse after so many years, it sounds like they picked their work right back up from the early '70s. Nils has a way with his piano playing and guitar work to just transport the songs to another realm. And, of course, Neil is still playing like he's in his 20s—bombastic, loud, and explosive at some times, and quiet, restrained, and tenderly beautiful at other times. Worth a listen for any Neil fan (especially if they dug Barn). And the vinyl does not disappoint. Cool 7" single included, too! -
Archive stuff is great, performance stuff is great, this is not, Barn is also woeful. If he spends little time engaging with his new music then I tend to feel the same
-
Best played very loud. Mixed reviews for this one. Is he trotting them out too quickly these days? There always seems to be a new Neil Young record out.
-
A nice album with the ”new” Crazy Horse behind Neil including Nils Lofgren. It’s raw, rough, noisy and beautiful. The pressing sounds quiet enough and is well worth the money.

Picked up a new, sealed copy for £20 (sorry) but would have paid a lot more. The packaging ( low-res images) is not great, so it's all about the music and the sound - which is fantastic. I've not heard a digital release to compare to, but everything is clear and defined; punchy when it needs it (Shut It Down). Three sides of vinyl and a 7" seems like a bit of an oddity, hence the unusually high RRP. Crazy Horse sound great. A terrific collection of tracks. Will be listening to this a lot. 9/10.

This is the first new release Neil Young album I've bought in years that I think I'll keep playing. As usual the pressing quality is excellent. So is the vinyl mastering. This record sounds raw and live-- just like Crazy Horse should! Highly recommended.
