Edited 16 days agoI am absolutely LOOSING MY MIND!!!
I have never had a near mint copy play with so much noise before. This was sealed, I cleaned it and everything. It looks NM but the entire A and B side is plagued with noise.
Triple checked that it wasn’t my stylus or system. WTF?!
Going to get a replacement eventually hopefully that is actually normal.
I have the MOFI pressing that does great, but I think this sounds better so I’m bummed. This will take a backseat until I can replace. So so stupid.

Edited 4 months ago6/10 Dette er et klassisk album med noen hekt fantastiske låter og tekster, men det er ikke helt min stil og det går helt fint. Jeg synes plata er helt grei, men helt essensiell i min samling

Just dusted this off... I see some of everything in the reviews, from horrible to fantastic, for this press. My copy is a flat slab, next to zero surface noise, and No IGD. These factors alone with current presses of anything have sadly become a rarity it seems. So, as far as the pressing, for my copy, is damn good. The sound, IMO/on my system, is pretty damn good as well. The sound stage has air (is wide, deep, and has space), Lows are not obstructive/distorted (as some presses have had on Sun King), Highs are not tiring and sparkle in the right spots, and the separation/layering is good with nothing obscuring anything else. At least, this is how my modest set-up projects it and my ears decipher it...
(Fluance RT-82 w/Acrylic Platter, ATN-XP cart/5 stylus. Nobsound T3 Phono Amp, Aiyima A07 Pro, Kicker KB6B, & 2x Polk PSW10 Subs...Simple Low Cost Setup)...Happy Listening -
This QRP pressing is the quietest of all the Abbey Road remix pressings since release. The Optimal gets close. The others are miles off. What i prefer about the Optimal press is the jacket has a better contrast and colour reproduction. In this respect its just like the Sgt Peppers remix reissues... better jacket with the EU press, but slightly better pressing quality with the US QRP cut.

I can't understand any complaints here. This is an outstanding pressing and is still quite cheap to buy. I have a decent vinyl collection and I'd rate this as one of my best sounding. So there you go.

Edited one month agoThe remix sounds pretty excellent to me! The sounds really fill up the room with this pressing imo. The only complaint for me is the semi prominent popping and clicking, reading other reviews, this seems fairly common and seems to be caused by "burrs." I have wet and dry cleaned this multiple times with underwhelming results, I have seen that playing the record multiple times helps break in the grooves and remove some of the pops and clicks. I have spun it fully about three times, and the pops are still pretty strong. Has anyone been able to "fix" this pressing, and if so, how many spins did it take to hear a prominent decrease in surface noise? It's not a huge deal, but as a curious collector, I was just wondering if there was any insight. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the press and have my fingers crossed that the issues work themselves out. (Surface noise is more prominent during the beginning of each song but somewhat evens out through the middle in my experience)🤞🤞🤞

Hello everyone, can you please help me understand whether the US pressing sounds better than the EU pressing? I have the EU version, and it's quite quiet, but the bass is too loud! For those who have the US 2019 or 2021 (GZ media) pressings, could you describe their sound quality?

Only slightly better than the awful Giles 2018 mix of the White Album. Here we get a bit more dyanmic flare and punch, but it's obscured by the digital f*ckery which makes a mockery of humanity. The only "good" thing about this are the different positioning of the guitars in aural space at the end, which actually does improve on the original in my view. Other than that, just get a clean mid-70s UK press and be done with it, or better yet the '76 Japan press.
