Edited one year agoNow THIS is the kind of sound I wanted to get from the Hotel California One-Step. I played piano for 5 years, and I've never heard a recording sound so realistic. Everything sounds so balanced and unfiltered, It's difficult to imagine it actually can get better sounding from here. If you're a jazz audiophile, this is an amazing purchase, and it's relatively affordable compared to its jazz one-step siblings. If you want to try out a One-step, this should be your purchase.

Secured a copy and well worth the search. My favorite Monk album. I'm not. MoFi hater and think the album sound absolutely amazing and couldn't be happier with the purchase. Well done!

As with all MoFi products proceed with caution.
Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab are aware of customer complaints regarding use of digital technology in their mastering chain. They have apologized for using vague language, allowing false narratives to propagate, and for taking for granted the goodwill and trust of their customers place in the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab brand -
Best sounding record in my collection by a mile. The presentation and pressing are fantastic. I just need to find a copy of "Whats Going On" now.

Just got a copy of this at retail from Elusive Disc today - keep an eye out for extra copies trickling out at MSRP.

Music and quality mastering: 5/5
Pressing quality: 1/5
I had two copies [+#4,500), and both came with warped discs, surface noise, and cosmetic damage on the LPs. RTI quality control always been shaky, but if you charge someone $125 for a record, it must come flawless. -
Edited 4 years agoCan anyone tell me if a higher number is worth less? Just curious. I have copy 5,838.

Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely! My second MoFi One-Step and I haven't been disappointed. The sound is incredibly clear, clean, full, detailed, and very engaging. I dare you not to get lost in the music. This can very well be the best sounding record in my collection. It's been spun 3 times now and I'm loving it more and more each time. A MUST
