Above & Beyond – Flow State

Amazing album, I waited too long until I got it finally. Quality of the case and the pressing is like all Above & Beyond albums magnificient. Sound is crystal clear. The tracks give me deep chills and I can really relax to these sounds. Very ambient music. It shows again that this group is highly versatile in what they are doing.

One of the most relaxing and beautiful albums I have listened to. The beautiful ambient trance is the perfect background to any work or relaxation session. So thankful for this LP, it's gotten me through many days.

Additionally the overall quality of this 2xLP is 10/10. The exterior white embossed cover along with the quality of the gate-fold makes for a very nice presentation and addition to any collection.

Edit: Had to come back and reinforce the importance of this album in my life. It has afforded me so many moments of relaxation, even through some of the most stressful points of life. Thank you A&B for putting this composition together.

Beautiful album. This duo continue to show their versatility and their willingness to experiment beyond just trance. And the pressing sounds amazing. Very quiet surface while the music sounds clear and dynamic. I love that Above & Beyond continue to vinyl. It's a tiny bit annoying that the running times of the sides are so short though. I get why it's on two LP's...sides C and D run too long to fit on one side. However, sides A and B could've easily fit on one, so perhaps this should've been made into a three-sided set just for convenience's sake? I don't know, it's a minor complaint. Still, this is an excellent record! And I like the nice packaging with the outer slipsleeve!

I first started listening to A&B back in 2004.. loved their early stuff, and listened steadily till about 2012... after that mainstream EDM had settled in, and all the great artists shifted to this mass produced noise called EDM...
Now you see all the people that were not even alive back when the whole Rave scene started, early 90's loving these so called EDM Gods... I can listen to their original stuff, but these new releases really offend my ears... This one, here, is quite an exception.. a good piece of music.... kudos to A&B... they still hold some originality somewhere down in their veins.

This is a beautiful mix of ambient sounds. It's very suited towards meditation, a lot of the tracks not really having any particular construction to them or direction, merely very soothing and calming swirling sounds. Some tracks obviously are recognisable like "Small Moments", "Common Ground" and "Sun In Your Eyes" which still sends tingles down my spine. I actually stuck the digital version on on the train to work this morning and went into a deep trance, it was lovely.
A&B just keep progressing into different arenas, they are truly gifted, despite a lot of their original fans having left the roost and complaining of their new direction into EDM, I still rate them especially highly with their Acoustic sets and now this.
Pressing wise, this is simply flawless as they all are. Zero background disturbance, superb clarity and wonderful balance. Just grab it!
