All those years afterwards, the changed design of the name logo still looks like a clothing label to me. -
It's the dirtiest record I've ever received. It looks like it was packed by Bedouins in the desert, bought from Amazon in 2023.

This release was pressed in the Czech Republic. That means it is a ''hit & miss'' in of pressing quality.

had extremely annoying amount of permanent noises, clicks and pops after first cleaning. gave it another stronger cleaning and its absolutely perfect! -
I decided to buy all Sylvian's vinyls (I own the CDs). To me, it's an excellent sounding repress except some crackles at the end of "the boy with the gun" and "waterfront" plus here & there as well. But globally very good. -
Buying in 2021, and it sounds incredible. Sad to hear of others having issues with their copies but mine is one of the quietest records I own. I own the original, the remastered CD, and tape... and this sounds the best of the bunch. -
I had had two copies now - the first one was permanent low crackle. The second copy is actually warped with much less crackle: great! Real care and attention given to this masterpiece, huh?! Let's see if returning two will mean third time lucky. Fortunately it's Amazon returns which are less hassle. -
Edited 5 years agoI've cleaned mine a few times with my Hannl RCM-- it's a generally quiet pressing. Decent mastering-- definitely not from the CD master but it does have that 1980's something or another that I generally don't like, but only a bit. Overall this is the best sounding version I've yet heard-- I have the original CD release. -
