Edited 3 years agoGreat latest Prodigy album finally, after the awful ''The Day Is My Enemy''.
''No Tourists'' is a return to pure quality of hard hitting tracks. Best track of the album for me is ''Resonate''. A track from the future...........way ahead from even the time i'm writing this review. -
This album is exactly what I wanted after I fell in love with jilted generation and fat of the land.
-
its not amazing. maybe better than day is enemy. but definitely 1000000 times better than ed sheeran, billie eilish, taylor swift or olivia rodrigo.
-
This is awful ho back nineties always preferd german techno sven vath cosmoc bay kraftwerk ect roni size drum and bass jilled generation good album fat of land not bad this cometcial shite
-
What a load of shit, totally sold out after Experience, became an imitation of pendulum which I felt was an imitation of prodigy....

I haven't heard the album yet, and by the tracks that I already heard, honestly, probably won't do it. The good production is there, but that's not enough, I mean .. some of those tracks are just dumb, redundant, predictable, obvious. From "Invaders.." to this day, they have been making tracks intended to be played and experienced in live (they always do, but ... if you know what I try to say ...). Although that's pretty cool because some of those songs are like little capsules of madness ... (alive, it explodes) the problem is that their songs aren't memorable anymore.Anyway, The Prodigy is not of those bands in where his albums are pieces of work to be heard from beginning to end. They have some really good tracks on an album, and a few others are forgettable. However after all these years, this is what they choose to do. I personally believe that this is one of those projects that if they would focus in to experimenting with their harsh and heavy sound (yet, catchy) would being delivering far better songs. Instead, they still choose to make music that isn't too different from the whole edm scene that they've tried to critic with that awful track "Ibiza".

Edited 5 years agoI was not expecting that, but it is a very cool record!
After TDIME I had no expectations.
I really liked few tunes on it (the title track, Destroy, Wild Frontier, Medicine) but as a whole it was bit too noisy, all over the place and at the end underwhelming.
And this one took me by surprise!
I enjoy every single tune on it.
It's a very well crafted mix of everything that Prodigy done before.
There are call backs to all four first albums on it, which I find very entertaining.
My only problem with Liam nowadays is the fact he writes tunes for playing them live only.
The LP sounds more like a compilation of concert bangers than a proper album.
Tunes are way too short (which is a really fucked up tendency recently).
It kills the vibe on some level, and tunes are less creative, he is not experimenting as much as he used to.
Just imagine tunes like Timebomb Zone were at least 5 or 6 minutes long, Jesus!
Or what if Give Me a Signal had an acid rinse out for 3 or 4 minutes long instead of 1 minute in the second half of the track.
The solution is simple in my opinion.
We need extended tunes for an LP and rearranged, shorter edits for live gigs.
Also Liams still sucks in stadium drum'n'bass hehe, COL and BBT are the weakest tracks on the LP :)
To sum it up, NT is neither groundbreaking like E, MFTJG or TFOTL nor fresh and different like AONO (criminally underrated LP) but it is a proper, well produced bunch of banging tunes which both old heads and new heads should enjoy.
It's energetic, it's ravey. It simply has the Prodigy's quality to it!
And it's defenitely way better than a previous one :)
