The 1984 release, ’74 Jailbreak, by AC/DC is often labeled as a full album. Personally I think it’s more of a sort of compilation EP. The tracks all were released before in Australia but never put on an international release. Most of the time these kind of releases are a bit redundant and only interesting for the die hard fans. But with ’74 Jailbreak that’s not the case. Because the tracks on this release were not released internationally before, it gives the feeling that they are “new” tracks. And the fact that Bon Scott is the singer on these tracks is great. Being a Bon Scott fan myself that’s definitely a big plus for this release. But besides all that, the titletrack alone is enough reason to get this release. The first time I heard that it almost immediately became one of my AC/DC favourites. So besides the limited amount of tracks, ’74 Jailbreak is definitely worth adding to your record collection.
