I found this record in a value bin. This made me think the previous owner might have not liked this copy (why would anyone sell AM record? Haha).

I was quite impressed with the sound quality. It sounds “warmer” than the digital counterparts (CD or streaming) primarily because the loudness and harshness aspect has been treated well for the vinyl mastering. The record has a decent soundstage and dynamics. Of course, it is not an audiophile/out of the speaker type of record, but this is probably the best treatment the album has received so far. I also love how the bass sounds. A little boomy but it has a nice punch to it.

The only thing I was a bit disappointed with was the artwork. It’s a bit pixelated.

Happy to have this in my collection!

            Hi
There's are no significant differences between this version and the 2013 repress Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare.
Does someone know some identifiable differences ?
Otherwise the 2 versions should be merged.

This album didn't really hit my radar when it came out. Even though I really liked their debut. Later I got hooked on AM like the rest of the world. Then years later my daughter discovered them and tried to convince me that this was really their Magnum Opus. We picked up a copy together and god damn... if she isn't right. This is NOT the difficult second album - it is a "kick in the face" sort of album... a clan at the top of their game - and they know it. Sures it's predecessor without really making an effort... and their debut had then been labelled as one of "the most important rock album in british history".

In short; the public: "The Arctic Monkeys are never gonna live up to the hype of their first album". Alex Turner: "Hold my beer". A timeless classic from its release day.

Probably my most played record in my collection, sounds amazing and it's just a great album in general.

My pressing playback is a bit faster than the digital files. Anyone else with this issue?
