I reading somewhere that this split was actually released in 1994 or the vinyl version was released in 93 and cd version released in 94 or both released in 94.

This gimmick usually seems like a bad idea: the each-band-covers-the-others'-song(s)-with-wacky-results deal. For this split, these songs were never recorded by their original writer. They just exchanged lyrics and then wrote songs off of that. Both sides are totally inspired. The artwork is amazing, too, with each band's style flipped to the others'. Very cool split!
