Notes
Australian edition manufactured from US plates from RCA Indianapolis
Cover is copied from UK artwork and incorrectly retains UK catalogue number and "Interpak by Shorewood Packaging Co Ltd, England" - both on rear cover. Spine has been modified and has correct Australian catalogue number. Though Aladdin Sane contained an lyric inner sleeve in Australia, the Australian cover removes "Lyrics within" which appeared beneath the song titles on the UK cover. This was the first Australian RCA Bowie Lp to contain a lyric sleeve.
First editions have laminated outer sleeve and a square inner sleeve. Later editions have a cut corner inner sleeve (commencing circa 1974) and (at a different stage) no lamination.
Release date code on rear cover (A 7 73) indicates this album was scheduled for release in July 1973 - RCA Australia issued a flyer to stores and "rush released" this two months earlier in May, the month following its overseas release.
