Edited 6 months agoVery good, coherent album that comes after Soma which was absolutely massive when it released in of popularity. Cafe Belga is much more... reserved and definitely more suited for reflecting sessions. It gives me expat feelings: living abroad, stress free life while sipping espresso, reading books... Lack of featuring artists on this album almost mirrors that sense of isolation when away and it works nicely with his themes introduced in different tracks. Taco H. is reaching artistic heights, but he's much more relaxed this time around - he's got nothing to prove anymore. It's becoming a classic rap album (at least in my book), ages like fine wine and is a treat to return to.
