One of the best Moving Shadow releases this one. 'Open Secrets' is the main attraction and is dark in the way of atmospherics as opposed to nastiness, or harsh sounds. From the rumbling opening keys and ethereal synths to the use of the old Guinness advert speech sample, it just creates an ominous presence which just flows into some majorly energetic breakbeats. Then the drop hits you with forlorn sounding horns which conjure up the Middle East (when in fact they were sampled from the awesome Dave Angel remix of an Eurythmics tune and slowed down considerably). An incredibly powerful tune this one and one that I'm surprised hasn't received any reviews.

The Y-Side, 'Enticer' is on a similar dark tip but a lot more restrained. With lots of cavernous echoes with the bass throbs which open the track up, stepping breaks and swirling flute sounds used throughout. Proving that to be dark you didn't have to pummel the listener to death with noise. My only criticism of 'Enticer' is that it doesn't appear to go anywhere. Though with an X-Side like 'open Secrets' it could be a single sided release and still get 5/5.
