I very much enjoyed this album and recommend both to Muddy Waters fans as well as given the history behind the recording.

The Blues purists may have hated this album but if Hendrix had put this out then it would be at the top of great Psychedelic Blues Rock album lists or think of it as some lost early Funkadelic LP

You need this much maligned LP. It's Black Rock and Fuzz-Pscyh Blues from Mud and one guy went on to play guitar for Mles Davis during his deepest, darkest groove exploration period.

I bought this pressing prob in 2015 or so , it sounds good , flat, clean and good separation but maybe a little compressed, its a thick recording so maybe its just how it was recorded, either way the guitars on this album are just wicked! A Wah wah psychedelic orgasm for ur ears!

sounds ok; but drums are so low in the mix, as to be almost invisible. is that true of original LP as well? bass guitar sound great, but otherwise, mix is odd.
