Great compilation, but the so-called "Night Version" of Planet Earth is different from the original 12-inch "Night Version", and the one on this CD compilation stinks IMO. The original 12-inch is a stunning sharp remix, perfect in all ways. The one on this CD comp is a minute longer, but also seems slower, more bass-heavy and just feels lacking. Shame.
Otherwise, like I said, this is a fantastic comp, great to have these gems all in one place. Feel like the mix is a bit hot (loudness) but it's not a deal-breaker. -
This remix compilation must definitely be released in Vinyl in a box-set just like what Depeche Mode have done,
It would definitely be selling like hot cakes!!!
