Edited 3 years agoI first became aware of electronic/synth pop in the early '80s with New Order, Thomas Dolby, Howard Jones, and Depeche mode. Later, I found my way to Kraftwerk and became a fan. Revisiting my favorite DM record, this copy I purchased in '84, combines urgent synth figures, rich layering, and stereo imaging with sensuous vocals. The results are stunning and evocative.
Highlights here are "Somebody", "Master And Servant", "People Are People", and "Blasphemous Rumours".
Audio is beautifully recorded and mixed with a well-established soundstage. Excellent pressing. 4.5 stars. Recommended.
