Notes
The third solo studio album by Phil Collins. The album was released on 25 January 1985 on Take Me Home" were all released as singles with corresponding music videos. All four singles were top ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with "Sussudio" and "One More Night" reaching number one. The three singles that were released in the UK all reached the top 20 on the UK charts. Worldwide, the album has sold over 25 million copies.
The title was inspired from an incident where Mr. Collins was denied ittance to the posh "The Pump Room" restaurant at the Ambassador East Hotel in Chicago, Illinois. The legendary 5-star restaurant has a strict "no-jacket, no ittance" policy and Mr. Collins' jacket was deemed improper by the maître d'hôtel.
The original album LP from the UK, contains ten songs. The additional song, "We Said Hello Goodbye," is only available on the CD edition.

WOW! Honestly speechless. I don't ever want to stream this album digitally again. Yes, the drums may be overcompressed at times but this is one of the BEST pressings I own. My opinion may change tomorrow but I'm vibing right now, ok? 🤣 -

One of my Top 5 records from the 80’s. I don’t believe there is a bad song on this album. I love that Sting and Gabriel appear as guests on a couple tracks. My pressing is very good! I highly recommend. -

Just dug this out from my collection to see if I still wanted to keep it (running low on space). Unfortunately I rediscovered how much I like this, so its staying. Sound wise it great (I forgotten how much), and its not going anywhere. -

Likely digital source. Very 80s sounding. Compressed drums. Sometimes there's sibilance on the vocals. It's a good pressing, but nothing here is going to turn heads. -
Great sound and music energy, i really don't know how they could cut all these tracks in one disk with such a low final distortion! Must have!

BUYER BEWARE: My copy of this release has started to 'pinhole', as have quite a few CDs that were
manufactured between the early 1980's & the mid 1990's.
There are articles, on-line, that have been written about this ongoing problem.
My advice is to rip your copy of this release asap, before the pinholes increase & become problematic
during playback of the CD.
