Moth is truly an exceptional song. There's a few others that are good too but Moth is really special.

I got this double album for free with the purchase of something else. I’ve never hear of this artist, but it’s an excellent album. No need to make comparisons to other artists. It’s good because it’s good.

At the time of writing some of this album is up on Youtube. So before reading my review or anyone elses review do yourself a favour and pop over to Youtube and give it a listen and make up your own mind as my opinion or anyone elses is subjective.

This album is unmixed and features eleven instrumental tracks. Out of those eleven tracks i`d say eight are excellent.

Most tracks are built around punchy I.D.M , Electro rhythms with keyboard sounds and layered atmospheric sounds coming in and out of the mix. All these different elements give the album real depth. With each listen you hear more and more detail. The album has a very mechanical, metallic feel, you can really hear the machines. But it`s not a cold album, it has a subtle, understated beauty. The production is excellent with crisp clear distinction between all the different elements that comprise each track. It`s an intelligent, imaginative production and a very engaging listen.

IMHO this is an excellent release and will be appreciated by fans of Autechre style I.D.M.

Yawn. This release is very samey from start to finish with locked-in trudgy beats and boring pads. On "Even" they seem to be content to aimlessly putter about for 5-8 minutes with not an exciting moment in sight.
