Queensrÿche – Promised Land

The last of the great Queensryche albums gets vinyl treatment with very low volume level cut like previous reviewers have mentioned. However if you turn volume up on your system - I suppose that's why there is a volume knob - this sounds pretty good. Good quality on vinyl helps to enjoy this without any crackling and/or pops. At least my copy sounds excellent.

There is some surface noise in the dead wax, but can’t be heard during content. Nothing that makes me want to return it, but I would hope there’s a better pressing out there somewhere because I love this album.

Not sure how people think this is inaudible or a bad pressing?! Sure its a little quiet but thats what your volume control is for. Its not too different to other releases though.
Gave it a clean and sounds good to me.

Maybe you need a new system?

I can completely understand the mixed reviews on this. It takes some additions in my opinion. Adjusted EQ+outboard DAC+200WRMS+sub. Sounds delicious. If you want exact buy the CD. If you want a HiFi adventure, buy the vinyl.

Queensryche fans, I just don't see the allure to this album. Many of you think this is such a great work of art and I just don't get it. It's such a departure and drop down from their clear career masterpiece that is Empire that it pales badly in comparison. It's slow, plodding and at times way too busy. The best songs are the slow ones but even those aren't that memorable. Like I said Empire will go down as one of the best albums not of just the 90's but of all time and this one is simply a stinker.

Sounds horrible, too low and it highs and lows are horrid.

This is one of my favorite records, but this edition is practically inaudible. Huge disappointment.

Great pressing, quiet in the runoff between songs. Dynamic recording. Love the clear vinyl. Never really gave this a chance back in the day but it’s solidly in my rotation these days!

amazing album. nothing to do with heavy metal. I recommend it to all fans of heavy prog and progressive music.
