      The De Donatis and Wippenberg mixes are the best two. De Donatis has that harder, bouncier edge and the Wippenberg one is pure trance. Most people dismiss as pure cheese but these two mixes are great tunes in their own right.

          Nice package. Go for the original mix if you want that Alice Deejay trance sound, go for the Peter Luts Remix if you want that Y2K epic trance sound, go for the Absolom Remix if you want that hard trance sound, and go for the Perfect Sphere remix if you want your progressive trance sound. Can't go wrong.

            Despite knowing and loving this song for years, it was not until 2020 that I learned the truth about it. The way they treated Marsha is a complete disgrace and after reading her story, I find the song more touching than ever. She sacrificed her job for Ian van Dahl and got involved in a car accident on her way to the studio, but still they did everything they could to erase her from the project and the song once it had become popular.

              Great song! All versions sound good IMO. Like Dan-J's remix for example. Personally my favorite is the original.

                The Wippenberg Remix is a real banger, shines much brighter than the rest of the mixes.

                  Strangely enough, 1500+ Discog s own this record, and only two have commented on it. A golden standard for turn-of-the-century, feel-good, introspective trance, "Castles In The Sky", in any remixed form, is immediately approachable even to non-trance listeners, and has been since its release. The song is very simple in arrangement, flow, and lyrical content, but that's possibly what makes it a classic- it came out in a time when trance was becoming muddled in itself. There's also something to be said about a song that continues to be remixed 13 years after its release. A great late-set or set closer, both then, and now: no classic trance set should be without it.

                    This song I fell in love with the second I heard it. I can't say much for the original extended, but the Peter Luts Mix, Absolom Mix, and the Wippenberg mix are so close to perfection. This song put Ian Van Dahl on the charts and on the radio all over the world, and it was only the beginning. If you are a DJ, and you don't have this single, you must own it. It's a trance classic.
