This pressing looks and sounds great. Will be holding on to this for a long time. -

I cannot say enough good things about this. It sounds like they're in the room next to me, and the vinyl is DEAD silent. I'm keeping this forever. -

These 2024 reissues sound great, I like this one even better than An Insatiable High. Very cranklable but clear, spacious and detailed.
The only issue is the longer B side puts Tropic Birds at inner groove distortion territories which is audible but not as bad as "Good (Bad?) Old Days" or the Yamashita reissues.

I bought and own the first ever copy sold here, if anyone seriously wants it let me know! -
Edited one year agoSounds amazing. Uncompressed, dead-quiet vinyl (important for the slower/quieter ages of the album), clear separation, great dynamics. Like mentioned below, the volume is not low like the reissue of Brasilian Skies (also released in 2023) is. I am not sure an OG beats this and I don't even feel the need to find out. This is the real deal! A keeper for sure.

An absolutely excellent album, likely one of Takanaka's best.
I don't think there is a weak track on this album. Just wonderfully melodic guitars that will instantly make your summer evenings better.
If you're looking to get into Takanaka, I would start here. Easily accessible, airy strings and guitars make this a joy to listen to time and time again.
This pressing, as per usual for the Kitty Takanaka albums, is solid. Nothing to complain about there.

Well folks, what we have here is just pure gold. Since the announcement of this reissue (we only had to wait 47 years) I was counting the days until I could play it on my turntable. It didn’t' fail me. this album's sound is balanced, deep on instruments. I can hear contrast other albums don't possess, especially on the first and second songs (all of me reissue) The volume is definitely not low if we compare to the recent Brazilian Skies reissue, It plays so well!

It's not present in the CD's TOC, but this CD seems to be pre-emphasized (just basing it on the way it sounds). I may add it to the description of this entry if I can get some corroboration from others.
