Jason Isbell – Southeastern

Ran to the record store the day these dropped. I had heard they were doing a limited ed with hand numbered/sprayed lettering, and sure enough, they were so new the ink hadn't even dried all the way yet (well, it had, but they smelled like fresh paint). A cool little collectors edition of an excellent record. Very personal songs by Jason, love, loss, despair, being down on your luck (Super 8 Motel), and cancer (Traveling Alone). IMO this is among Jason's finest records.

The original that I have was pressed at United.
They did a terrible job.
This album is a classic. It will be around a long time. Hopefully one day Analog Productions will make a copy.

I came on to see if anyone had commented on how amazing the live LP from this set sounds. Nobody had, so let me just say it now! Worth rebuying the original album for.

Mine is great except for one thing. There is a skip on ‘Different Days’ at the end on side one.

Disappointed as I was hoping this would be a better version of the 10 year remaster. Seems to be exactly the same, but only pink in color. Still hoping for an audiophile pressing of this someday. Amazing album.

Just updated pics to more accurate record color. This is far from blue. AQUA is a good description but comes short also, cause it's seethrou but also so so vibrant. It's the greenest turquoise you can find online and it's actually super pretty. My camera was super styburn and capturing it as a plain dark blue... Super weird

I got a signed copy from an indie store and I reckon JI signed for other indie stores too. The signed copies are going for insane prices on ebay. I wished someone have more info on these as it looks like the median prices on discogs won't make justice to the signed copies

sounds great! bought this from a record store. just the indie clearwater blue, doesn't have all the extras that come with the deluxe. I never had the original on vinyl but this sounds like what I recall from spotify (haven't done a side-by-side comparison)
