Edited 3 years agoThis 12" sounds fantastic. The extended version of the A side adds some more to the album version, but the real JOY of this release is the B side. The Return Of The Handsome Rugged Man exemplifies just how fantastic these 4 musicians (plus Wally, though I'm not sure he plays on this) were/are (RIP Boon). It is simply fantastic and showcases everyone, in particular Phil Gould - what a fantastic drummer. I can't emphasise just how fantastic this 12" sounds, "Rugged Man" is so "open" and totally thrilling from start to finish - influences are everywhere in this track.
If you haven't heard it then please pick up a version of this, preferably this one. Highly, highly recommended!
