Elvis Costello & The Attractions – Get Happy!!

This is the ONE. I can only concur with some comments below. BLOWS away the UK original single 33. SOOO much more expansive, deeper, richer, colourful and textured.

Beg....borrow.... steal.... just get this one!

Surprisingly decent. Back To Black and GZ Media often both disappoint. My copy is two dead flat discs and free of nasties for starters. Over 2xLPs the music plays well. It could maybe sound abit more expansive but its fresh and not lacking in textures. This is easily one of the best B2B releases ive had which may not be saying much i suppose.

Donnow if it's my copy specifically, but frankly, it sounds like sludge, and I'm a little surprised as other folks mentioned this was supposed to be a good remastering/pressing. I should track down the Mofi version to see if it's at all better.

Bought when it came out played the hell out of it... got a vinyl copy not too long after, I was kind of disappointed, was used to the sound of the cassette... like the cassette had more bottom end, along with a good amount of tape hiss... completely nutso record though... at this point in my life I probably have three vinyl copies floating around the crates... despite Nick Lowe's liner notes, this thing is a sonic wreck, which fits the mood and performances... I don't know about the advisability of trying to find a 40 odd year old cassette but if I come across a clean one I might want to go down memory lane... check out the video for "High Fidelity" sometime...

Sound is between good and ok, bass is a bit overloaded and not that quick and vivid as it should be.

Purchased this recording new . Avoid ! Get a UK or perhaps a new pressing. This sound is a mess.

Pretty shockingly bad sound. Thin, way too bright. And the screw up on the labels make this pretty much a hard when tons of equally economical version can be relatively easily found.
