Bob Dylan – New Morning

Looking for the best pressing of this album, is this the one?

My LP has a gold stamp that says "For Governmental Sale Only" on the back cover.

My copy of this sounds like Bob Dylan is singing from behind a door or something. Especially, and more evidently on side 1. Not sure if this is kind of universal to this album in particular or the early pressings or the Australian pressings or what. Mine is an Australian second pressing from 1970.

There is supposed to be a version of New Morning without special thanks to Al Kooper. I checked the pictures and all have the credit. Anyone have the copy without the credit?

Wow, what else can I say if not wow? Exceptional pressing in of majestic sound quality and beautiful artwork, a must have without a doubt.

The LP plays only the side 2 on both side.

Agree with muchorelaxo below. A real treat. Lovely to listen to one of my favourite Dylan records in such a pristine soundstage. And still available brand new at a very decent price. Happy days!

This one sounds great (clear and vibrant, good separation) and with clean vinyl it is a bonus and very affordable. However, they cut the “here we go” from the beginning of New Morning. A good affordable clean vinyl option.

I don't have any other pressings to compare it with, but this sounded a little dull to me. It could just be the recording itself, but I was not impressed with the overall sound.
