Giorgio Moroder – Cat People (Original Soundtrack)

Sleeve was NOT “VG” as listed - in horrible condition. Rips on opening and opposite side will need reinforcement as it is also worn away. Faded too. Vinyl was in good condition.

Audiophile demo vinyl, especially the first title track is used at high end audio shows.

Well produced, clear, and deep base. Zero surface noise. Got a copy still sealed! Great quality for a special-priced, super savings pressing.

This is a super sounding scandinavian pressing of this classic soundtrack by Giorgio Moroder from early 80's. David Bowies Cat People is amazing song, but here we have much more. This is a beauty of an record.

I think (but not 100% sure) the version of "Irena's Theme" on the soundtrack album is different to the one used in the film, when Irena goes out to the country with the John Heard character (Oliver). The film version is more understated, synth and piano without drums. Quite common that the soundtrack album producer will 'improve upon' something from a movie, I suppose. Would have been nice to have both here - I'd have happily sacrificed "Bring The Prod" to make room for it!

I've always wondered..... how can this gem of an album be rated at a fuckin' 3.97/5?????

Last track is called 'Bring the prod', not 'Bring the pod'...

For any Bowie completists, he also hums on B2 'The Myth'. Pleasant surprise after buying the LP instead of the single, cos it was cheaper...nearly didn't even bother playing the rest of the album after the 1st song. Ha!

Shouldn't this one be listed as MCA 2968 ?
