This SHM-CD has outstanding sound. The level of detail in voices and instruments is astonishing, as is the soundstage. Honestly, for me, it was a great purchase, and at an unbelievably low price. Thank you, Francisco del Pozo.

Not quite up to Love Over Gold soundwise. But nice pressing with a few ticks here and there. GZ Media almost always has some flaws.

Sonically excellent, unfortunately pressed by GZ Media. Lots of micro scratches, dust, muck. Playable after a thorough wet cleaning.

I sold my MoFi (bit too clinical for my tastes) and the 2021 Rhino (same CB mastering as this one - but the vinyl QC was shit).
I love the CB mastering for this album - Warm, punchy and musical. The vinyl QC for this release is far better and much quieter than the 2021 Rhino.

The one negative, and the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars, was the high likelihood of scoring and scuffing the records when trying to remove them from those semi gloss paper sleeves. They like to suction themselves to the records on removal. It resulted in side A of record 1 suffering scoring (GRRRR!!) visible under a halogen light and a 25mm split on the corner of the mouth of the inner sleeve which occurred when removing the record (GRRRR!!) Thankfully side B was unaffected and record 2 was much easier to remove and was as clean as a whistle on both sides. Play through was near flawless and both records were well centred and spun almost dead flat and quiet, aside from 2 pops and a few very quiet ticks which no doubt, will be resolved with a wet clean.

I wish these came with poly liners for the inner sleeves so the records don’t get scuffed or scored trying to remove them. A really stingy thing to do when poly inner sleeves would cost the pressing plant a few cents each! I’ve got the records housed in Mofi sleeves now. Sheesh!
The outer jacket isn’t gatefold either, so both records are housed side by side and the printed inner sleeves double as liner notes with song titles, lyrics and credits, etc…

I recently bought this version and in my case the pressing came from heaven!! I can easily say it is one of the clearest pressings I won, not even one click or pop (of course all of my vinyls are cleaned before with cheap but amazing Knosti Disko Antistat). Dynamics are fantastic and a delightful atmospheric sound is coming straight from heaven.

Not the real deal. FAKE-item. The vinyls are genuine Mexico issues but the promo-stickers on the labels AND the "so called promo-cover" are products of phantasy and not a genuine promotional-cover. Don´t waste your money in such items. It is my opinion. There are some other Dire Straits albums out there, made as "promo-items" in the same style.

i don’t have the real version of this album, i have a bootleg- it’s less good than the real one
