Love the alt sleeve. Pressing sounds and looks fantastic. Hoping the deluxe tracks get pressed someday. -
No idea why anyone else has had issues with their presses. Mine sounds perfect. No surface noise and it plays excellent. Great quality sound too.

I have to say, playing the cassette version next to my vinyl pressing, this actually sounds soooo much better! Now, I say that, but I have the standard black vinyl release and have only read good things from other reviewers, so I could just have a dud, but still, the cassette sound fantastic. -

I heard a lot of bad things about the colored pressings, but although this is boring black, it sounds fantastic. There is no surface noise at all, and the sound quality is really clean. -
The director’s cut version of Screen Violence is only available digitally, and includes three additional tracks that weren’t tethered to the original release.
You never know what you’re going to get with tracks that didn’t make the original cut on any album, but neither of the three additions come off sounding like their initial exclusion had been justified.
What we get here are three tracks that are strong enough to belong with the rest, and that’s the best you could ask for… isn’t it?
The FLAC files are absolutely flawless too. This may be the best mixed Chvrches album to date! -

This is currently the cleanest sounding record that I own. Fantastic pressing of a fantastic album.
Chvrches had divided its fan base with the release of Love Is Dead - I love it, personally - but everyone seems to agree that Screen Violence is the band at both its best and most authentic. I’m on board with that, because I haven’t been able to stop listening to it since it came out.
The only way this album can do any better on vinyl, is if the Director’s Cut with three extra tracks gets a pressing at some point. But for now, this is, I have found, been the best format to enjoy this album on, standard edition or no.
