IMO one of the best releases in electronic music history, never heard anything like it. This is on a different level. -

An incredible album start to finish, there is nothing else like it. This will take you on a journey through yourself and the universe. Oliver worked his magic once again, i'm not sure how he does but he does; this album is him at his finest. -

I'm sure I read somewhere just after this release that Oliver utilized some new software or sequencer to get the drums to sound organic, anyone what he used for this? -

Have been in love with this album since I first got the cd back in the mid-90s. Maybe the best trance album ever made.

Yes I agree with all reviewer's here
I do like all these tracks in a meditative state with and after yoga or a workout - My Name is God, Aton and Sun are delicious ! -

After his debut as Spicelab, Oliver Lieb decided to try his hand at tribal techno with THE AMBUSH. And after an ambient visit to Africa, "Rain" segues into the beats for a deeper track, while "Cassablanca" is more spacy and has a nice, gradual build, though it's not particularly Moroccan in any way. "My Name is God" adds a touch more energy with its more bouncy melodic line, though the vocal samples enter to help maintain an organic feel to the track, while "Terra" returns to the ambiance, buoyed by some live drumming from Harald Grosskopf. The drum frenzy grows on 'Jungle Fever" but the longer hypnotic experience of "Sun" closes the album on a more sedate note with Native American chants before the beats kick in to drive things home. A nice change of pace for Mr. Lieb. -

Some serious Tribal Beats & Percussion is at work in "My Name Is God". This track is unlike most oliver lieb productions of the time. Turn it up and you may feel god coming down any second. -

Style: Trance, Tribal, Ambient... My favourite styles! I like this album so much. Its atmosphere is so deep, hypnotic, meditative and natural. Elements of sound used in the album are very beautiful and mellow. Sounds of the African tribes injected into ecstasy and serenity at the same time. It is one of the strongest production by Oliver Lieb, and one of my favourite album ever.
